Overview
An Oil and Natural Gas Licence to Search grants exclusive right to explore and produce oil and natural gas.
Eligibility
A licence to search for oil and natural gas shall be granted to the person submitting the successful tender in a "Call for Tenders" for the purchase of a licence to search.
Description
A licence area shall not exceed 100 sections (35,000 approx.). A licence to search may be converted to a lease during the 3 year term of the licence to search.
Fees
Unless otherwise specified, Fees exclude the harmonized sales tax (HST).
