FREDERICTON (GNB) – Team New Brunswick is proud to announce the final rosters of the 19 teams that will represent the province at the 2015 Canada Winter Games to take place Feb.13 – March 1 in Prince George, British Columbia.

“These talented youth have developed their skills in every corner of our province thanks to the many community partners and organizations that are helping families and making sport affordable and accessible to New Brunswickers,” said Healthy and Inclusive Communities Minister Cathy Rogers. “I am also particularly proud that this team represents one of the most inclusive teams we have ever had, with a clear recognition of the amazing talent of our para-athletes.”

Team New Brunswick held its Rally and Salute last month to provide final briefings to the teams in addition to unveiling the ceremonial uniform. Atlantic Lottery, a long-time sponsor, presented a cheque for $20,000 at the rally as part of their ongoing support.

The Canada Games alternate every two years between summer and winter games and are one of the largest multi-sport events held in the country with about 3,000 athletes and 19 sports. Team New Brunswick will be represented by 205 athletes, 60 coaches, managers and technical staff and 16 mission team members. The team is led by Chef de Mission Sherry Doiron.

The team rosters are presented based upon the week the team will be competing.
