FREDERICTON (GNB) – Fencing NB has announced the members of the fencing team who will represent the province at the Canada Summer Games.

The team members are:

●    Men's foil: William Dobson of Quispamsis and Ryan Downey of Hillsborough.
●    Men's épée: Scott MacGregor of Saint John and Nigel Sood of Oromocto.
●    Men's sabre: Jeffrey Probert of Fredericton and Cedric Richard of Quispamsis.
●    Women's foil: Meghan Lynch of Quispamsis and Zoë Richard of Quispamsis.
●    Women's épée: Willow Wilson of Fredericton.
●    Women's sabre: Emily Creamer of Saint John.

The head coach is Xavier Boulet of Fredericton. The club coach is Barbara Daniel of Fredericton. The manager is Diane Raiche-Phillips of Saint John.

Fencing competitions will be held during the second week of the 2013 Canada Summer Games, to be held Aug. 2-17 in Sherbrooke, Que. The Games will bring together 4,200 athletes to compete in 20 disciplines at 20 sites. Team New Brunswick will consist of 415 athletes, coaches, managers and mission staff.
