FREDERICTON (GNB) – Basketball New Brunswick has announced the members of its women's basketball team, which will represent the province at the 2013 Canada Summer Games.

The members are:

●    Diedre Alexander of Woodstock.
●    Emma Blizzard of Fredericton.
●    Alyson Colpitts of Fredericton.
●    Meghan Flood of Rothesay.
●    Gillian Grant of Rothesay.
●    Allison Keane of Fredericton.
●    Abby MacDonald of Quispamsis.
●    Sara McGeachy of New Maryland.
●    Jennifer McTague of Quispamsis.
●    Emily Nicholson of Quispamsis.
●    Sarah Ripley of Fredericton.
●    Erin Steeves of Shediac Cape.
●    Eva Tumwine of Fredericton.

The head coach is Kevin Daley of Fredericton; the assistant coach, Lori Wall of Saint John; the apprentice coach, Kelsey Daley of Fredericton; and the manager, Peter Kelly of Fredericton.

Women's basketball competitions will take place during the second week of the 2013 Canada Summer Games, to be held Aug. 2-17 in Sherbrooke, Que.     

The Canada Summer Games will bring together 4,200 athletes competing in 20 disciplines at 20 sites. Team New Brunswick will consist of 415 athletes, coaches, managers and mission staff.
