QUISPAMSIS (CNB) – The provincial government is making an additional investment to help complete the Kennebecasis Valley fields project.

“Our additional investment in this important community project will improve the quality of life for the residents of Quispamsis and the entire region, and this will also help us work toward our goal of self-sufficiency,” said Health Minister Mary Schryer.

She was speaking on behalf of Business New Brunswick Minister Victor Boudreau, who is also the minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation. Schryer and Premier Shawn Graham recently made the announcement in Quispamsis.

The provincial government is investing $200,000, which is in addition to the $300,000 it made in June 2009.

The project involves the construction of an artificial turf surface on the field behind Kennebecasis Valley High School.
