FREDERICTON (GNB) – The following statement was released today by Public Prosecutions Services, Office of the Attorney General:

Public Prosecutions Services has received the final report from Quebec’s Bureau des enquêtes indépendantes regarding its investigation of the circumstances involving the death of 26-year-old Chantel Moore during a police intervention by a member of the Edmundston Police Force.

Public Prosecutions Services is taking the time to examine these findings to determine what steps will be taken. It is expected the examination of these findings will take several weeks.

Public Prosecutions Services will not be commenting on the findings of the investigation while the matter is being examined.
