FREDERICTON (GNB) – The deadline to apply for disaster financial assistance related to the 2019 spring flood is Aug. 30.
Anyone who needs help with the application process can call 1-888-553-8558 or email [email protected]. Help is also available in Burton at the Burton courthouse, 23 Rte. 102, 506-357-4615, and in Fredericton at the New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization’s Recovery Office at 65 Brunswick St., 2nd floor. The Burton courthouse office will close on Aug. 30, as well.
Homeowners, small businesses and not-for-profit organizations filed 679 damage reports to the New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization. So far, 340 applications for assistance have been received.
