FREDERICTON (GNB) – The following statement was issued today by Premier Blaine Higgs:
Marcia and I were saddened to learn of the recent passing of former MLA R. Donald Kinney.
Don served as the MLA for York between 1999 and 2003. During his time at the legislature, he served on standing committees on privileges, Crown corporations and the ombudsman.
Don was known for his outgoing personality and made many close connections as a businessman in the community, working in insurance prior to his political career.
On behalf of all New Brunswickers, I wish to express my deepest condolences to Don’s loved ones.
