FREDERICTON (GNB) – The New Brunswick College of Craft and Design is holding its 15th Annual Fashion Show at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at the Fredericton Convention Centre.

The show, Style to walk - a fierce fashion affair, has been in the making since the fall of 2012. Along with designing and creating a line of six original outfits, senior students have been working as a group to co-ordinate the entire event.

The annual fashion show is intended to raise money to support two Fashion Design student awards.

First-year fashion design students have been given the challenge of creating one original garment using shower curtains. The audience is invited to vote for their favorite piece during intermission. Winners are announced at the end of the show.

Alumni have also been invited to participate in the first half of the show and to set up display booths in the foyer.

In the second half of the show, all five senior students are presenting their own original line of clothing.

The event provides the opportunity for alumni, sponsors, and students to network. Participants and attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with the designers and talk about their work.

Tickets are $15 and are available in advance at Read's Newsstand, UNB Campus Store, at the craft college or at the door starting at 6:15 p.m. Reservations for tables of eight may be purchased in advance for $200 by contacting Ellen Woolaver, Co-ordinating Instructor, Fashion Design, New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, 506-453-5997.
