FREDERICTON (CNB) - Finance Minister Victor Boudreau issued the following statement today on the death of Nova Scotia Finance Minister Michael Baker, who died Monday at the age of 52:
I want to express my heart-felt sympathies to the family, friends and colleagues of Minister Baker.
I had the pleasure to work with him on a number of files along with my other federal, provincial and territorial counterparts. I always found he carried out his tasks with the utmost professionalism and an obvious passion for his province.
Minister Baker worked diligently for his constituents and showed tremendous courage in his battle against cancer. He will be fondly remembered and again, we send our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.
