Overview
Allocation and issuance of wild turkey licences to residents of NB.
** Successful applicants require a special tag to purchase the licence. These tags are mailed to successful applicants.
Eligibility
Residents of New Brunswick who wish to hunt wild turkey must enter the annual draw.
Resident Wild Turkey Draw
Applicants must
- be residents of New Brunswick whose principal place of residence is New Brunswick
- be the holder of a New Brunswick Outdoors Card number
- be at least 16 years of age at the time of application
- not be restricted from purchasing a New Brunswick Hunting Licence
- first read the course documents providing important information on wild turkeys and wild turkey hunting found on the department website (see Related Links)
- meet the requirements listed below:
Hunter Education Requirements:
• Resident Hunters born on or after January 1, 1981 and all first-time hunters must show proof of a Firearm Safety / Hunter Education Course (gun hunters) or a stand-alone Bowhunter Education course (bow/crossbow hunters).
• Hunters born previous to 1981 may present a previous hunting licence as proof of hunting experience.
• Conservation Education certificates from other provinces, territories and states are valid in New Brunswick.
Description
Quotas for resident wild turkey hunting licences are determined on an annual basis for each Wildlife Management Zone. Resident draw applicants must choose their zone at the time of application.

Residents may apply online or in person at any authorized vendor or Service New Brunswick location.
Fees
Unless otherwise specified, Fees exclude the harmonized sales tax (HST).
