FREDERICTON (GNB) – Trevor Severin of Darlings Island was the first name drawn in the 2013 Crown reserve angling draw. Severin and his party were successfully drawn for the Crawford Crown reserve stretch on the Northwest Miramichi River.

"I congratulate each of the New Brunswick residents who were drawn to fish on one of these 20 prime stretches on the Miramichi, Restigouche and Patapedia river systems," said Natural Resources Minister Bruce Northrup. "These regular Crown reserve stretches are some of the best waters anywhere to fly-fish for Atlantic salmon and trout."

There were 1,279 applications received, with 598 successful parties drawn. Successful party chiefs will be notified by mail. Anglers must purchase their Crown reserve angling licences by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 26, or their Crown reserve waters will be reassigned to other anglers through the mini-draw process.
