FREDERICTON (CNB) – A reward of up to $12,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the Aug. 24, 2010, destruction of a helicopter being used for herbicide spraying on Crown land in the Kedgwick area.

The contracted spray helicopter was destroyed through arson while on the ground. No one was hurt in the incident.

The reward includes up to $2,000 from NB Crime Stoppers and $10,000 donated by a private company that wishes to remain anonymous.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online.
