FREDERICTON (CNB) – Arsene Levesque of  Val-d'Amour was the first name drawn in the 2011 Crown Reserve angling draw. Levesque and his party were successfully drawn for Craven's Gulch on the Northwest Upsalquitch River for July 2-3.

The Regular Crown Reserve Water Draw provides New Brunswick residents with opportunities to angle for Atlantic salmon on selected stretches of the Miramichi, Restigouche and Patapedia river systems for specific days during the fishing season.

There were 1,944 applications received, with 634 successful parties drawn. Successful party chiefs will be notified by mail. Anglers must purchase their Crown Reserve angling licences by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 29, or their Crown Reserve waters will be reassigned to other anglers through the mini-draw process.
