FREDERICTON (GNB) - The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure advises the travelling public that the start date for the ferry service from Summerville to Kennebecasis Island will be delayed.
The delays are related to repairs necessary on the contracted tug and barge to meet Transport Canada Marine Services requirements.
Full ferry service is expected to begin early next week, weather permitting. In the interim the department will be providing a passenger shuttle service operating between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. This service began at 9 a.m. today.
The public are reminded to avoid blocking access to private driveways when parking on Summerville Road near the ferry landing.
The department regrets any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the public’s patience.
