SAINT JOHN (CNB) – Dexter Construction Ltd. will undertake the following construction on the Route 1 Gateway starting on July 4:
● Saint John (west side): concrete barrier wall construction at the Riverview Drive overpass. Work is anticipated to be complete by October;
● Saint John (centre): concrete barrier wall construction at the Mackay Highway interchange over Rothesay Avenue. Work is anticipated to be complete by December;
● Sussex: concrete barrier wall construction at the Smith Creek overpass. Work is anticipated to be complete by December; and
● Lindys area: a detour will be in place while construction is done at the eastbound bridge over the Kennebecasis River. Work is anticipated to be complete by January 2012.
Drivers are reminded to exercise caution while Dexter Construction Ltd. undertakes this work.
