Tabusintac Community School officially opens
The new Tabusintac Community School officially has officially opened. The one-storey, 1,526-square-metre school accommodates 44 students. Construction of the school, located on the site of the former Tabusintac facility, began in late 2012 and is the result of a total investment of $3.6 million. Appearing with students at the school are, from left: Chris Avery, representative of the local service district; Darlene Stymiest, school principal; Nancy Boucher, superintendant, Anglophone North School District; Mike Mortlock, chair of the district education council; Fraser McCullum, chair of the community centre; Premier David Alward; Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Marie-Claude Blais; Miramichi MP Tilly O'Neill Gordon; Natural Resources Minister Paul Robichaud; and Miramichi Bay – Neguac MLA Serge Robichaud.
