FREDERICTON (GNB) – The provincial government today signed a collective agreement with school business officials represented by the Public Service Alliance of Canada.

The group includes 252 employees working in transportation, financial services, facilities and information technology at school district administrative offices.

“I thank the two negotiating teams for reaching this agreement,” said Treasury Board President Roger Melanson. “This illustrates our commitment to ensuring that the government treats its employees with fairness by respecting the collective bargaining process.”

This is a first collective agreement for this bargaining unit that certified in 2013. The six-year agreement includes annual economic wage increases of one per cent and an adjustment tied to the discontinuance of the retirement allowance benefit.
